::Chasing the Destination::
'If we can just let go and trust that things will work out the way they're supposed to,
without trying to control the outcome,
then we can begin to enjoy the moment more fully.
The joy of the freedom it brings becomes more pleasurable than the experience itself.'
-Goldie Hawn
How do you dance with Surrender and Attachment?
Where do you tend to step, lean and land between the two?
This is a big topic that comes up with my clients around aspects with their :
-relationships
(and attachment to relationships and expectations),
- food
- the body
- grasping to goals
-etc...
When we allow ourselves to become so raw to look at our own attachments, we can tap into that sweet place of vulnerability.
We can look at
'surrender' and 'attachment’ through a place of trust.
.
From vulnerability, we create awareness,
which allows us the space to create the shifts and changes to move us more in alignment with what really serves and nourishes us.
.
The attachment keeps us stuck in the place of chasing the destination…When we allow ourselves to surrender, we open ourselves up to the journey.
‘the Journey has to feel the way you want the Destination to feel’
-Danielle LaPorte
How many times have you ‘arrived' at a destination and thought to yourself 'that's it?'
.
.
You know those times...
-You keep willing (forcing) something to happen and find there is no momentum or sustainability in the end result {destination}
or
-You keep justifying to yourself for staying too long in a relationship of any type {intimate, friendship, work} and when {blank, blank and blank happen}, it will be {blank} *but it never does*
or
-Find yourself saying 'when I {fill in the blank}
I'll be so much {blank}'
or
-You find yourself waiting for the golden ticket?
You are the treasure chest full of golden tickets, babe!
.
.
When we chase, will, force, hold our breath, stay stagnant, we essentially miss out on the
WHOLE JOURNEY!
The journey is meant to feed and sustain us the same way the destination does.
.
Where in your life are you missing out on Feeling and Living the journey because you are waiting for the DESTINATION?
.
.
Cheers to embracing the WHOLE journey!
