Join us for a community cooking demo to explore the healing power of food, the importance of eating fresh, seasonal & locally sourced foods.
This event will be hosted by Kate Strakosch, nourishment coach; Jeanette Sealy, an Ayurvedic practitioner; and Georgia Fickes, Earth keeper and herbalist who will guide us in exploring how food can be medicine for our bodies. These three guides align in the values of gathering in community to learn, share, connect, heal, and thrive in our bodies and along the journey.
Our evening together will weave together the attributes that we each focus on including hormonal flow, food combining, seasonal eating and maximizing nourishment from the Earth.
During this event, we will learn about the importance of eating fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced foods, and how to prepare them in a way that maximizes their nutritional benefits. We will also have the opportunity to taste some delicious and healthy dishes made with these ingredients.
Our gathering will be a delicious medley of conversation, cooking demonstrations and savouring in the delicious creations, as well as education and inspiration.
You will leave with a full belly, heartfelt connections, a recipe bundle and local resources to continue to support you.
The event is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the healing power of food and would like to connect with others in the community who share this interest. Whether you are new to Ayurveda and nutrition or are already familiar with these practices, there will be something for everyone to learn and enjoy.
